But the Carter novel (more likely novella) will have to wait, as I am now utterly obsess'd with writing a book that is influenced bythe writings of CLARK ASHTON SMITH -- simply cannot wait until 2012 to begin, I want to write it NOW. Maryanne K. Snyder will be writing it with me, and she will help to make certain that it is a book that evokes ye spirit of Klarkash-Ton, not Ec'h-Pi-El!w. h. pugmire, esq.https://www.blogger.com/profile/06058736777591351323noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6515727505809779817.post-31889355231909520922010-12-11T12:58:34.131-08:002010-12-11T12:58:34.131-08:00It all sounds very exciting! Keep up the good work!

Lovecraft mentions in a letter to Wandrei that he might write a story about a voyage into the gulfs of space that Carter made, but I think this would have taken place during Carter's time as a dreamer (i.e., before he turned 30). Your idea sounds great! (You may also want to re-read "Out of the Aeons"; there is a brief but maybe important reference to Swami Chandraputra/Carter there.)

Yrs
MartinMagisterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07903799437411528229noreply@blogger.com
