H. P. LOVECRAFT'S "THE MOON-BOG"

  1. I so enjoy hearing about your days as a Mormon Missionary. The incident about the BOM was delightful. Dagny

  2. Honey, I couldn't agree with you more. That story, in my humble opinion, is one or Master Lovecraft's least inspired stories. It doesn't feel like a Lovecraft story in a way either. Of course as you pointed out, the narrator is very Lovecraftian but other than that it feels a lot more like either Dunsany or maybe Hudgeson more than the Master himself.
Always love hearing about them Irish days. But, may I ask a wee thing? Why could you not have any tea? Sounds like right torture that.

    1. Mormons have what is called "the word of wisdom," a health code that prohibits use of tea, coffee, or tobacco or booze.

    2. Oh, sorta like kosher. Makes sense. Some Jews don't drink tea or coffee or booze as well. Though that's not required, it is suggested in the Talmud.
      Very interesting.
